Flue-pipe column (4) for a chimney, with a plurality of flue pipes (1, 2) which are positioned one upon the other in the axial direction (3) of the column (4) and consist of a ceramic material, and with a pipe socket (7) for the sealed connection of adjacent flue pipes, of a first pipe (1) and of a second pipe (2). The pipe socket (7) is attached at the socket end of the first pipe (1), encloses the plug-in end (6) of the second pipe (2) and thereby spans the joint (13) between the first pipe (1) and the seocnd pipe (2). The flue pipes (1, 2) are produced with a constant cross-section by extrusion.
