The imaging system is used to determine the internal structure of the body via a modulated HF current passed through it with different types of tissue exhibiting different conductivities. The current provides a corresp. magnetic field which is detected on the outside and inside of the body, e.g. via a magnetometer to allow the current distribution to be evaluated.Pref. the measured current distribution is used to construct a layer image of the internal body, structure, with several layer images combined.
