Child care and paediatrics apparatus intended to bring about a reciprocating rocking movement of perambulators and stationary or movable sleeping equipment. The present invention comprises a miniature microphone (20) which, via the cries of the child, transmits a signal to an electronic receiver (8), this said receiver (8) triggering the start up of a small tape recorder (9) on which the voice of the mother is recorded, and of an electric motor (11) which, by means of a cam (12), transmits a vertical oscillatory movement to an arm connected (14), at the bottom, to the cam (12) and, at the top, to the top part of the chassis (2). An acoustic warning device (18) controlled by the electronic receiver (8) makes it possible to alert the parents. The time and number of rocks may be programmed. The invention may be used for perambulators or any other fixed or movable sleeping equipment in hospitals or rest centres. IMAGE
