Contactless linear or angular displacement sensors

The sensor of the invention essentially comprises two reactive circuits, for example inductive circuits, extending in the direction of the displacement to be measured, and a slide (4) integral with the object whose displacements are measured. The first circuit (2) has a constant cross-section, whilst the second (3) has a progressively decreasing cross-section. The slide, made here of a ferromagnetic material, alters the coupling between these two circuits. It is sufficient to measure the voltage variations at the terminals of the second circuit, and to calibrate them in distance values. IMAGE
