The heated surface of an electrical appliance has at least one local overheated zone (10). A temp. control (12) is at the zone (10). Pref. the overheated zone (10) is on part of the resistance path (2) length (11), in contact with the heated surface for thermal conductivity. The resistance path (2) is narrowed at each overheated zone (10). The resistance path (20 is a square, and each overheated zone (10) has a smaller surface at the temp. control (12) than the mean size of the remainder of the circuit, with a constant or variable path (2) size at each zone (10). The path (2) follows a serpentine course, with the temp. control (12) at the centre. The temp. control (12) is a thermostat. USE/ADVANTAGE - The system is esp. for an electric iron, with an electrically heated sole. The temp. control can be located as required, in a simple assembly.
