The appts. to feed a moving yarn (2), from a treatment zone (1) to the winder (8), has two channels (22,23) with pressure/suction on either side of the feed unit (4). The first channel (22) has its entry end at the treatment zone (1) outlet, and its other end (25) is below the motor shaft (5) of the feed (4). The second channel (23) is positioned on an axis between the pressure roller (6) and motor shaft (5), to carry the yarn to the entry (17) of the yarn transfer to the winder (8). A fixed deflector (26) passes the fluid current flow from the channel (22) leading from the treatment zone (1) towards the entry of the blowing/suction channel (23) leading to the winder (8). The deflector (26) is an open-ended throat spout shape, joining the ends of the channels (22,23). The throat spout has a flat base and walls curved in parallel round the motor shaft (5), to give a deflection path round it from the outlet (25) of the first channel to the contact point between the motor shaft (5) and pressure roller (6). The entry (27), at the base, is located below the pressure roller (6) as an extension of the first channel (22). The two walls converge, so that one wall describes a spiral to give a progressive shift towards the outer surface of the pressure roller (6). USE/ADVANTAGE - The system is for the movement of a yarn between stations, such as from a heater to a winder, in false twisting and the like. The operation gives a fully automatic yarn movement and transfer, without manual intervention.
