The invention relates to a device making it possible, in the absence of the master and at a frequency programmed in advance, automatically to empty fresh feed contained in a closed tray into the animal's dish. The device consists of a frame supporting a stock of full trays (3), a mechanism for perforating the cover (11) and an emptying jack (5). A rotating arm (131) picks up a tray on passing under the stock (3) and positions it above the perforation mechanism (11). The perforation mechanism executes the start of an opening into the cover. The rotary arm resumes its travel and brings the tray under the emptying jack (5). The pressure exerted by the jack on the top of the tray crushes it and expels the feed through the opening (9), the feed falls into the dish. The rotary arm resumes its travel and brings the empty tray above the ejection aperture (10). The device according to the invention is particularly intended for automatic feeding of pet animals: dogs, cats, etc, in the absence of the master or of the person in charge of the animal. IMAGE
