The present invention relates to the use of colostrum or breast milk of human or mammalian origin, for inhibiting the accumulation of proteins on the surface of polymers in contact with biological systems capable of containing proteins. The invention relates more particularly to the maintenance of contact lenses using a solution consisting of colostrum or breast milk of human or mammalian origin, as well as the treatment methods using this solution.
