The invention relates to portable electronic dosimeters for ionising radiation, which allow cumulative measurement of the radiation doses received by the person wearing this apparatus. It consists in separating the dosimeter into two parts, on the one hand a casing (101) including at least the elements for detecting the radiation and for processing the signals from this detector and, on the other hand, a smart card (102) comprising at least one memory used for storing the dose indications determined in the measurement elements contained in the elements of the casing. It allows the holder of the smart card (102) to move around continuously with it and to insert it as required into a standard casing (101) available at all places where there is danger of exposure to ionising radiation.
