Viewing probe for positioning bone drill relative to bone implant

A probe (4) consisting of one ore more viewing tubes may be manually manoeuvred using a lever (5). The probe is connected to a slidable shaft (2) via an intermediate universal joint block (3), giving the probe full freedom of movement relative to the shaft. The probe may be locked in any angular position relative to the shaft by means of a locking screw (10) and driver tool (12) associated with the universal joint block. The position of the probe tubes corresponds to the location of holes at the lower end of an intramedullary shaft implant, and the tubes are configured to act as guides for a bone drill (11).
