Modular flooring system to create staging for travelling shows

The staging consists of square units (1). Each unit has an underframe (2) and a flat section (3) which is screwed to the frame. The underframe consists of four shaped sections (5, 6) made from folded sheet metal, joined by corner pieces. Two of the sections (5) have a tongue (50) and other two sections (6) have a groove. The modules are assembled by slotting the tongue on the side of one section (5) into a groove in the next module, they are then screwed together from above. The screw (32) passes through the flat surface (3), the tongue and the groove. The modules are designed to rest on a stand (4) consisting of two identical sections of two parallel tubes (43) hinged at the centre. The ends of the tubular sections are soldered to vertical tubes (44) which each have a telescopic leg (45) which end in a base plate (46). Each of the corner sections (7) of the module has a blind hole (70) in its base which the upper end of the vertical tubes (44) fits into. The flat surface (3) may be reversible, with a different type of surface on each side.
