The weighing machine has a housing(10), a load detector(20) fixed in the housing(10) and a vertical movement weighing platform(40) having a horizontal upper face(41). A frame(50) encircling the platform (40), fixed to the housing(10) has inner dimensions slightly greater than the platform(40), and extends upwards so that its upper edge(51) is slightly higher than the upper surface(41) of the platform(40). The frame(50) is in one piece and can be removed from the platform.
