Self-protected remote monitoring and control system for fixed or mobile units

摘要

The control system has a module installed on the object to be monitored and a central management unit (8). The objects are connected to the central unit by a radio communications system. Each object module has a computer system (2), a satellite positioning (GPS) modem (7), local sensors (5,6) and actuators (3,4). All these elements are connected by secure data links. Data regarding the object is transmitted from the module to the central management unit via a radio-modem (1). The central unit processes the data and returns signals to the controlled object in order to operate a required function. The central unit comprises a computer which runs software adapted to the control system function, i.e vehicle tracking, route optimisation etc.
