METHOD FOR INSPECTING DEGREE OF OXYGEN SATURATION OF ARTERIAL BLOOD OF PATIENT RECEIVING MEDICAL TREATMENT AT HOME

PURPOSE: To improve a treatment effect by enabling a patient who receives a medical treatment at home and with whom a home oxygen treatment method is executed to transmit the most desirable result of measurement under a rest condition to the physician in charge with respect to the measured value of the degree of oxygen saturation of the arterial blood inspected by the patient himself without allowing the patient to feel mental oppression. CONSTITUTION: The patient receiving the medical treatment at home is previously given the inspection implements consisting of a pulse oximeter 1 having a sensor 1a and a recorder 2 having a manual switch 2a for recording which is operative when needed. The patient wearing the sensor 1a operates the manual switch 2a for recording by his own will at the time of measuring the degree of oxygen saturation of the arterial blood, thereby having the value thereof recorded. This recording medium is transmitted to a hospital side. Then, whether the recording is to be made or not is commissioned to the will of the patient receiving the medical treatment at home, by which the patient is relieved from the mental oppression and the mode to make measurement by selecting the rest time by himself is established. The reliability of the measured value is assured and the treatment effect is improved.
