PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bobbin brake of a general kind capable of being operated with reliability, taking out a bobbin from a bobbin case without being obstructed and fitting the bobbin to the bobbin case. ;SOLUTION: A double thread lockstitch sewing machine is provided with a looper 13 provided with the bobbin case 28 for a bobbin thread bobbin 31 and the bobbin is provided with a shaft 30 provided with a recessed part.
