Successively, the bottom mold 5 is descended by descending a casting table 6, and the ingot 1, in which the solidification at the lower part in the mold 3 completes, is drawn out downward from the inner part of the mold 3 at the constant speed. The pouring of the molten metal is executed so that the upper part of the ingot 1 remains in each mold 3 even after the bottom mold 5 reaches the descending position.
