摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a flame-retardant composite heat insulating material which satisfies the evaluation standard for extremely flame-retardant based on the railroad transportation standard No.81 and is inexpensive and has a flexibility which enables fixing processing of it on the inside of a duct and is easily cuttable by means of a cutter and provides excellent processability and workability. CONSTITUTION: A surface material 20 consisting of a metal foil 21 and a flame- retardant fiber layer 22 is laminated on one face of a resin foamed body 10 so as to bring the flame-retardant fiber layer 21 into contact with the resin foamed body 10. As the flame-retardant fiber layer 22 of the surface material 20 consisting of the metal foil 21 and the flame-retardant fiber layer 22 is adhered on the face of flame side of the resin foamed body in case of burning, heat is not directly transmitted from the face of the metal foil 21 to the resin foamed body when heating is performed from the metal foil 21 side and therefore, heat distortion, catch fire, firing and smoking of the resin foamed body 20 is suppressed and the flame-retardant properties can be improved.
