PURPOSE: To produce an Fe-Ni alloy material with high strength and low thermal expansion property, minimal in the occurrence of burr due to blanking and having enough strength to prevent deformation at working, without causing cracking at the time of hot working. ;CONSTITUTION: A slab, having a composition consisting of, by weight, ≤0.03% C, ≤2.0% Si, ≤3.0% Mn, 30-50% Ni, 0.005-2.5% Nb, ≤0.03% S, ≤0.02% N, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, us subjected, at least once, to first-stage press working at 800-1250°C at 15-40% total draft. Then, after heating to 1250°C, the slab is subjected, at least once, to second-stage press working at 1350-800°C at 30-85% total draft.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
