PURPOSE: To obtain jewellery having a greater variety of designs by cutting a transparent precious stone or semi-precious stone, digging a groove in one thereof, putting a precious stone or design parts into this groove and bonding the one precious stone to the other. ;CONSTITUTION: The transparent precious stone or semi-precious stone is cut to two pieces and the groove 3 is dug in the one semi-precious stone 1. The cut surfaces 5 of both cut transparent precious stones or semi-precious stones 1, 2 or the inside surfaces 6 of the groove are polished and the precious stone or design parts 4 are put into the groove and are fixed thereto or are made movable in the groove. Next, adhesives 7 are applied on both cut surfaces 5 in contact with each other and these surfaces are superposed and bonded on and to each other to form the same shape before cutting. The bonded precious stone or semi-precious stone is subjected to cutting and is finished as a jewel 8 in case of the occurrence of a deviation by the adhesion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
