PURPOSE: To sufficiently correctly execute tensile tests with few variations in measuring values even to a thin plate material. ;CONSTITUTION: In the tensile test method and tensile test apparatus, a tensile test piece 1 which has a parallel part 1a of a thin plate of 0.5mm or smaller thickness, grip parts 1b, 1b at both ends of the parallel part 1a, and extension measurement auxiliary elements 1d, 1d is used. The auxiliary elements 1d, 1d extend to the center of the parallel part 1a from start positions separated from a central position of the parallel part 1a and confront each other at front ends 1d-e, 1d-e. A tensile pull is applied by the grip parts 1b, 1b at both ends, thereby to measure the tensile pull. At the same time, a distance between the confronting front ends 1d-e and 1d-e is measured, thereby to measure an extension of the test piece, according to the test method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
