PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for cleaning a separation membrane of a membrane separation device and a cleaning method of the separation membrane, which is capable of cleaning the separation membrane with light work for a short time. ;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus main body 2 for cleaning is provided with plural long size bodies L capable of freely entering respectively between respective separation membranes 101 of a membrane separation device 100, formed by arranging side by side the separation membranes 101 for solid-liquid separation in upper and lower attitude with an equal interval in plural rows, and a refuse removing member S capable of stripping deposits stuck to the separation membranes 101 is attached in contact with each of the adjacent separation membranes 101 on both surface of the long size body L.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
