PURPOSE: To appropriately learn and store knowledge and to permit respective users to effectively use learing knowledge and to improve the use value of learning knowledge. CONSTITUTION: In the knowledge accumulation method of a language analysis processing system which obtains a translated word from an input language based on grammar and vocabularly knowledge and selects a necessary character among homonyms to the inputted original, the knowledge of the translated word of the selected character is sequentially learned and stored by the system of hierarchy structure by a knowledge dictionary storage part 8. When the registration request of the knowledge of the prescribed translated word or the selected character is given, a learning dictionary control part 10 sequentially judges whether the contention of knowledge occurs or not from the high-order layer of the hierarchy structure of the knowledge dictionary storage part 8. The knowledge of the translated word or the selected character which was requested for resistration is registered in a layer where contention has not cocurred.
