PURPOSE: To prevent the mislaying of a pallet and any dragging or the like from occurring by installing a pallet height detector in a mast unit in front of a driver's cab, and in a state that the height detection signal is outputted, lowering a fork whenever an operating signal of a down operating switch set up in and around this driver's cab is inputted twice. ;CONSTITUTION: A pallet height detector consisting of a limit switch is attached to a mast unit, while a limit switch LS13 is clamped to a lift bracket 11 at a specified height position from a car traveling road surface 12, then an operating piece 14 for the limit switch is clamped to an outer mast 9. This operating piece 14 is formed into such a length as operating the limit switch LS13 at less than the specified height from the traveling road surface 12. In the case where the operating piece 14 has operated the limit switch LS13 at the time of having operated a down operating switch, a down motion of a driver's cab 4 is stopped at the specified height position from the traveling road surface 12 by a control unit, and subsequently, an operation of this down operating switch 21 is once stopped and then when this switch 21 is reoperated, the down motion of a fork 6 is allowed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
