BRAID STRUCTURE, BRAIDING OF THE BRAID STRUCTURE AND BRAIDING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To obtain a braid structure having various cross-sections with stable shapes by commonly using at least one intermediate yarn in a braiding unit having a bobbin yarn spirally entangled on an intermediate yarn and an adjacent braiding unit. ;CONSTITUTION: This braiding apparatus is provided with ring-shaped grooves 2a constituting an orbit 2 for a bobbin carrier and tubular guide members 3 for inserting a braid structure having a bobbin yarn entangled on an intermediate yarn. A prescribed number of bobbin carriers are separately circulated along closed circulation units u1, u1' and u1" shown by a thick dotted line, a thick solid line and a thick dashed line, respectively. A prescribed ring-shaped groove having a guiding member arranged inside of the groove is commonly used in closed circulation units adjacent to each other and, accordingly, braiding units are connected with each other through an intermediate yarn taken out from the guide member positioned inside of the commonly used ring-shaped groove.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
