PURPOSE: To obtain expansion, to make the operation maintenance job of the network operation system efficient and to reduce the cost of the system by expanding a MIB on a main storage device so as to obtain remarkably high speed retrieval of MO in comparison with a secondary storage medium and quickening MO generation delete processing based on an AOI table. CONSTITUTION: The inclusion relation among management objects (MO) in the network operation is expressed as an AOI (Agent Object ID) table by using simple internal identification information. The AOI table 16 is defined for each layer of inclusion trees and expanded on a main storage device 14 of a computer and the MIB information, that is, the MO and its attribute is expanded. Moreover, an AOI table 18, MO and its attribute are coded and stored in a secondary storage medium 17 by a coding rule independently of the architecture of the machine and the MIB is configured by relating the AOI table 16 and the MIB information in the main storage device 14 and the AOI table 18 and the code in the secondary storage device 17.
