PURPOSE: To provide the method and system for storage type and immediate type automatic switching message communication which is good in communication efficiency by monitoring the traffic of messages, employing an immediate type communication system when the traffic intensity is low and a partial change in state is made or a storage type communication system when messages regarding the whole system are generated intensively, and thus automatically switching the immediate type communication and storage type communication according to the traffic condition. ;CONSTITUTION: The message communication system between CPUs 1 and 8 has a message counter part 2 which monitors the traffic of messages to be passed to the CPU 8 at all times and a process decision and execution part 6 which selects the immediate type communication system automatically when the traffic volume is less than a constant value or the storage type communication system automatically when the traffic volume exceeds the certain value according to the traffic monitor result to perform the communication; and the immediate type communication and storage type communication are automatically switched according to the traffic condition and the messages are communicated with good communication efficiency.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
