LOW BIT INTERMEDIATE TONE EXPRESSION FOR STILL IMAGE AND MOVING IMAGE BY NEURAL NETWORK

摘要

PURPOSE: To improve the display quality of a coded image by making a weight mean value of output values of a neuron close to vicinity of a neuron to a variable received by the neuron dynamically. CONSTITUTION: A dynamic quantization means makes a weight mean value of output values of neuron close to the vicinity of a neuron of a neural net whose each neuron have plural level outputs to dynamically a variable received by the neuron. Then an output obtained by the dynamic quantization means is displayed by a display means. In this case, plural states are provided to one neuron to allow the neuron to express discrete values. As shown in Fig, when the output of the neuron is displayed on a color display device, an input color image is separated into RGB (RED, GREEN, BLUE) and they are respectively given to the neural network and intermediate tone expression with high quality in low bits obtained by the dynamic quantization operation is displayed by a color display means.
