PURPOSE: To enable a temperature within a storing chamber to be adjusted and crops or the like to be stored in a less-expensive manner for a long period of time while their fresh state being kept by a method wherein air sucked from the storing chamber is cooled with snow in a snow chamber and snow melting cold water, thereafter the air is fed again into the storing chamber. ;CONSTITUTION: Cold air stored in a storing chamber T for keeping cold air, humidity and pre-cooling air is sucked from a plurality of suction ports 2 under its increased temperature through a driving of a blower 8 and then the air is fed into a cold air pipe Lr within an ice water chamber D through a suction pipe 11. At this time, cold air in the cold air pipe Lr is cooled with snow and cold water P having snow mixed in it in the ice and water chamber D, thereafter the air passes from the cold air pipe Lr to the blower 8 within a pre-chamber C and further the air is returned back from an air blowing port 1 into the cold air keeping, humidity keeping, pre-cooling and storing chamber T through the air blowing pipe 17. The snow and the snow melting cold water within the ice and water chamber D is taken from a cold water taking-in port 19 and then the water is fed to a cold air changing device 26 of the cold air keeping, humidity keeping, pre-cooling and storing chamber T through a water feeding pipe 20.
