SEAL DEVICE FOR FLOATING TANK ROOF

PURPOSE: To hermetically seal the external periphery of a roof when the roof is floated or lowered, by fitting a reinforcing material at the sliding part of the front end of a thin film sheet which is attached to the external periphery of a pneumatic floating roof at the inside of a tank and retaining the roof in close contact with the inside wall face of the tank. ;CONSTITUTION: In a pneumatic floatable roof 3 in a tank 1, a hanging hook 7 projected at the base end of seal hood plate 6 is rotatably fixed with a bolt 8 to fitting metal tools 5 for the seal hood protruded at an outer peripheral cylindrical plate 4. The seal hood plate 6 is pushed upwardly by a flat spring 10 attached to the outer peripheral cylindrical plate 4 and the pipe 9 at the front end is positioned to always slide on the tank side plate 2. A thin film sheet 11 is arranged on the whole periphery, passing through between the seal hood plate 6 and the flat spring 10 and a reinforcing material 13 is fitted to the inside of the front end part 12 of the thin film sheet 11 getting into contact with the side plate 2 and further, the thin film sheet 11 and the reinforcing material 13 are stuck and connected to each other by a belt-form material 14.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
