PURPOSE: To obtain an inspection system by which a chipped part can be discriminated surely by receiving a flat boardlike building material from the rear side comprising a protrusion, installing an imaging means above a receiver plate comprising a recessed part used to position the building material so as to be fitted to the protrusion, photographing the building material from the surface side so as to find a shape value, and comparing the shape value with a shape value which has been stored in advance. ;CONSTITUTION: A roof material 1 comprises two protrusions 2 on the rear, and it reaches a receiver plate 11 for an inspection system A while it is guided by side guide plates 21. The receiver plate 11 is provided with one pair of guide grooves 13, their interval is made to agree with the interval between the protrusions 2, and fitting recessed parts 14 are formed at termination parts in the pair of guide grooves 13. A CCD camera 22 is installed just above the receiver plate 11, and the roof material 1 is photographed from the surface side. The roof material 1 is positioned after its protrusion parts 2 have been guided to the guide grooves 13 so as to be fitted to the recessed parts 14. Consequently, the roof material 1 is photographed always in a constant position. When its position is window-set and processed by an image processor 23, the shape value of an outer shape can be operated quickly, and the discrimination accuracy of a chipped part or the like by a discrimination device 24 is enhanced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
