PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the shifting time so that the shifting fitness is compatible with driver's comfort feeling by determining the shifting time from the basic shifting time, a load factor and a rotating speed factor. SOLUTION: First, the primary input amount, that is, traction operation/ engine brake operation, a throttle valve position alpha(t), a transmission input rotating speed ne(t) and a shifting request signal (shr) are obtained. Subsequently, as the secondary amount, the input torque depending on the throttle valve position alpha(t) is obtained from the above, the shifting operation from the current set and adjusted speed change ratio and the shifting request signal (shr), and further the change of the transmission input rotating speed is obtained from the shifting operation and the transmission input rotating speed ne(t). By using these secondary input amount, the basic shifting time, a rotating speed factor and a load factor are obtained from a table, and a shifting time (ts) is obtained.
