PURPOSE: To obtain the subject pretreating agent containing an acid halide, capable of giving granular rubber standing extremely firmly bound in itself and of giving rubber agglomerates with high durability prevented from disintegration even when used outdoors and thus useful as e.g. an elastic paving material. ;CONSTITUTION: This pretreating agent comprises 1-30wt.% of an acid halide such as isophthaloyl chloride, a plasticizer such as dioctyl phthalate, a polyol compound such as polyester polyol, and a low-molecular weight isocyanate such as tolylene diisocyanate. It is preferable that granular rubber be treated with this agent and then incorporated with a urethane resin binder to effect curing into rubber agglomerates.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
