DIAGNOSTIC OR PREDICTIVE METHOD FOR AMNIORRHEXIS USING AMNIOTIC FLUID

PURPOSE: To diagnose the amniorrhexis by measuring the concentration of interleukin-6 (IL-6) or soluble interleukin 6 receptor (sIL-6R) in amniotic fluid. ;CONSTITUTION: When the relation of the concentration of IL-6 or sIL-6R in a pregnant woman's amniotic fluid is examined, the concentrations of both the IL-6 and sIL-6R in the fluid are increased. Accordingly, if the fluid from a mother's body is obtained and the concentrations of the IL-6 and the sIL-6R are, for example, measured in an aging manner, whether the woman to be diagnosed causes the amniorrhexis or not can be predicted or diagnosed. For instance, the measurement of the IL-6 may be conducted according to a normal immunity measuring method. Of them, a sandwich immunity measurement using detectable anti-IL-6 antibody in which suitable water-insoluble carrier fixed with the anti-IL-6 antibody is coupled to suitable labeled object is satisfactory in view of the operability and the sensitivity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
