REPAIRING METHOD OF QUAY AND QUAY STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: To utilize a ground surface at the back section of a quay effectively as a coast facility even during repair operation while economically reconstructing the stable quay efficiently by reducing an operating region at the back section of the quay occupied for a prolonged term. ;CONSTITUTION: In the repairing method of a quay repairing the quay by removing an existing quay 10 and reconstructing the quay, the ground is solidified through a method of deep-layer mixing treating construction and an improved ground 12 as a free-standing structure is created in the ground on the rear side of the existing quaywall 10 at an interval to the existing quay 10. The ground 19 between the created improved ground 12 and the existing quay 10 is excavated and removed while the existing quay 10 is taken off, and the foundation section of the removed existing quay 10 is prepared, thus creating the foundation 15 of the reconstructed quay. A quay body structure consisting of caissons 11 is installed onto the created foundation 15. Void sections 19' among the installed caissons 11 and the created improved ground 12 are backfilled by using soil and sand, to which previous mixing treatment is conducted by employing a solidifying material, and backfilled as ground 19".;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
