TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR CATV, COMMUNICATION PROCESSING SECTION FOR SUBSCRIBER TERMINAL AND TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION PROCESSING SECTION IN CENTER

PURPOSE: To provide quick and efficient response against requests from many subscribers. ;CONSTITUTION: A 2-way communication processing section 20 of a center 1 allows an incoming signal reception means 22 to receive an access request signal from a subscriber via a reception stop means 21 in a random timing and when reception signals collide with each other, a data confirmation means 24 allows an outgoing signal output means 26 to send an idle status signal to a communication processing section of the subscribers. A reception confirmation means 33 of a subscriber terminal 3 generates a random signal and an incoming signal output means 34 sends again the access request signal to the center 1 in a timing corresponding to the generated random number. Thus, a useless time is reduced by allowing only subscribers on request among all subscribers to make access request to the center and probability of re-collision is reduced by making a timing of re-transmission at random.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
