PURPOSE: To change harmonic overtone ratios of respective frequency components of a frequency band, to change finely a tone color (tone quality) and to perform control on a musical sound not conventional by shifting the frequency band of a musical sound waveform on the frequency without changing the density of respective frequency components of the frequency band. ;CONSTITUTION: The musical waveform data TWj (t) are multiplied by cosωsj (t), sinωsj (t) with multipliers A62, A63 to be added and synthesized by an adder A66 through filters A64, A65. By the multiplication, the frequency bands of the musical sound waveform data TWj (t) =ΣAn×cosωn (t) +Σ×sinωn (t) become to be shifted entirely by -ωsj (when low-pass) or ωsj (when high-pass). The stored waveform data Icj (t), Isj (t) are multiplied by cosωrj (t), sinωrj (t) with the multiplier to be frequency shifted, and are added and synthesized by the adder to be reproduced and outputted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
