NEW ANTIBODY HAVING INHIBITORY ACTION ON II TYPE PHOSPHOLIPASE A2 DERIVED FROM RAT AND ITS FRAGMENT

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject new antibody useful for discussing possibility of a therapeutic agent for cardiac infarction or cerebral infarction, inhibiting the activity of II type phospholipase A2 derived from rat blood platelet and liberating II type phospholipase A2 derived from rat blood platelet bonded to a cell. ;CONSTITUTION: This antibody inhibits the activity of II type phospholipase A2 derived from rat blood platelet and has liberating action on II type phospholipase A2 derived from rat blood platelet bonded to a cell and is useful as a tool for examining possibility of a therapeutic agent for diseases such as cardiac infarction and cerebral infarction in which II type phospholipase A2 plays a role, and also its fragments are examined. The antibody is obtained by mixing II type phospholipase A2 derived from rat blood platelet separated from concentrated plasma of rat blood platelet with Freund's complete adjuvant, subcutaneously administering the mixture to a rabbit, further immunizing the rabbit therewith as the booster at an interval of 2-3 weeks, collecting blood to separate serum, adding saturated ammonium sulfate solution, centrifuging formed precipitate, purifying it by a column packed with a protein A-immobilized gel and optionally treating it with an enzyme.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
