CHARGING METHOD FOR INCINERATION ASH IN ELECTRIC RESISTANCE TYPE INCINERATION ASH MELTING FURNACE

PURPOSE: To reduce a thermal load to an incineration ash charging device of an incineration ash melting furnace, and at the same time, prevent a melting furnace internal gas from staying in the incineration ash charging device, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: The atmospheric temperature at the upper part in a melting furnace 1 is kept at a temperature at 400'C or lower by forming an unmolten incineration ash layer 2 of a specified thickness, on the top of a molten slug layer 3 in the melting furnace 1. A charging port for incineration ash is provided at a location on the upper surface of the melting furnace l, and an incineration ash charging device 12 consisting of an ash hopper 6, screw feeder 7 and gas discharging device is provided so as to be connected to the charging port. Under an operation condition wherein the maximum pressure in the melting furnace 1 is the atmospheric pressure or higher, air of a specified quantity or higher is discharged from the upper space of the hopper 6 by providing a gas discharging device on the ash hopper 6, in order to discharge the melting furnace internal gas which gradually ascends in a filled layer of ash.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
