GASKET-PLUGGING METHOD FOR DOUBLE CHAMBER SYRINGE

PURPOSE: To prevent a medical fluid or a dried preparation or the like from contamination with miscellaneous bacteria before plugging a syringe, by supporting a gasket by which the double chamber syringe are divided into two compartments in a semi-plugged condition, and then press inserting it. ;CONSTITUTION: A gasket 4 is supported in a semi-plugged condition on a gasket cap which is fitted to an upper opening part 2c of an injection syringe 2 after filling a chamber 6 of the injection needle attachment opening 2a side with a medical fluid 10a. Then, the gasket 4 is immediately driven into the opening part 2c of the injection syringe 2 in a freeze-desiccator after the injection syringe 2 is carried into the freeze-desiccator and is frozen-dried. Thereafter, the gasket 4 is pressure-inserted into the inside of the injection syringe 2 due to pressure difference between inside/outside of the injection syringe 2 when the inside of the freeze-desiccator is returned to atmospheric pressure. Subsequently, a chamber 8 over the gasket 4 is filled with a solution 12, and a plug 20 is driven into the opening part 2c to seal the inside of the injection syringe 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
