PURPOSE: To form the film which is free from the defective plating, smooth, and excellent in the appearance and performance by hot-dip coating in the molten aluminum alloy plating bath where the molten flux containing the fluoride is floated under the prescribed condition after the chloride flux film is formed on the ferrous material under the prescribed condition with the activated surface. ;CONSTITUTION: The chloride flux solution which mainly consists of at least one kind of Ca chloride and Mg chloride and at least one kind of K chloride, Li chloride and Na chloride is coated on the surface of the ferrous material where the oxide film is removed and the activation is achieved, and dried to form the film where the adhesion per unit surface of the material is 1.5-30g/m2. Then, the ferrous material is hot-dipped in the molten Al alloy plating bath for 30 seconds to 10 minutes where the flux containing the fluoride which mainly consists of the fluoride containing Al, at least one kind of Ca chloride and Mg chloride, and at least one kind of K chloride, Li chloride and Na chloride is melted and floated, and then, the ferrous material is drawn out of the plating bath and the plating amount is adjusted to form the plated film layer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
