PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a screen plate for papermaking readily to produce. CONSTITUTION: This screen plate for papermaking is produced by continuously providing recessed parts (a) and protruded parts (b) on the surface, opposing plural long members 11 providing at least =2 protruded parts (b) to the recessed parts (a) of the long members 11 and putting plural long members 11 side by side so as to bring the protruded part (b) of the long member into contact with the protruded part (b) of the long member and fixing either one end sides of plural long members 11 which are put side by side to the first supporting member and fixing other member side of the plural long member 11 which are put side by side to the second supporting member and forming clearance between the long member 11 and the long member 11.
