HOUSING SUPPLYING APPARATUS AND TERMINAL INSERTION FAILURE DETECTING MECHANISM

PURPOSE: To supply a housing to a connector receiving tool from a feeder and carry out automatic terminal insertion. ;CONSTITUTION: A housing supplying apparatus has a rotor 6 which can reversely rotate a housing 2 from a chute 4 at 90 degrees, a chuck 7 which can move up and down and transports the housing 2 to a connector receiving tool 8, a housing guide 10 which positions the housing, and a means 12 to put the connector receiving tool 8 in horizontal state from vertical state. The apparatus is also provided with a reflection-type sensor 17 on the opposite to the rotor and a transmission-type sensor 42 to the connector receiving tool. The rotor, the connector receiving tool 8, etc., are fixed in a fitting way. The sensors are wire-remote-controlled. The chuck 7 is fitted in a guide rail and so supported by a pair of cylinders as to move freely between the cylinders. A movable substrate 95 which supports the connector receiving tool 8 is pushed in direction reverse to the terminal insertion direction by stronger force by a first cylinder than a terminal insertion force and pushed by terminal lock confirming load by a second cylinder in terminal insertion direction.
