PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of steel by forming a main body in a closed type rectangular sectional shape by using the main body in a structure as structural steel, burdening bending moment to a corner section and relatively forming an extremely thick resistance section. CONSTITUTION:Resistance sections 1b resisting bending moment are formed by concentrating steel at the corner sections of a main body 1a formed by forming shape steel 1 in a closed type rectangular sectional shape, the resistance sections 1b are positioned at the inner and outer circumferential sides, intermediate section, etc. of the main body 1a, and a sectional shape is formed in a square shape or a circular shape. The resistance sections 1b are formed in a thick shape gradually from the main body 1a, and the transmission of force among the main body 1a and the resistance sections 1b is smoothed. The resistance sections 1b at four corners and the main body 1a on the strong axial side are resisted against bending moment in one direction in the shape steel 1, and all resistance sections 1b and the main bodies 1a on both sides in the direction of the application of force are resisted similarly against bending moment in the rectangular direction. Accordingly, the wall thickness of the main body 1a can be reduced.
