PURPOSE:To smoothly feed and covey well reaped grain culms by arranging the second reaper above the back of a reaper for reaping plant foots of planted stand grain culms and setting the conveying speed of a plant foot nipping conveyor at a higher speed than the conveying speed of an ear tip engaging conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A reaper 4 is arranged above the back of a reaper 5 for reaping plant foots of planted stand grain culms to cut parts below ear tip parts. The conveying speed of a plant foot nipping conveyor 10 in a vertical conveyor 3 is set at a higher speed than the conveying speed of an ear tip engaging conveyor 11 to maintain conveyed grain culms in vertical postures.
