DEGAUSSING SYSTEM FOR COLOR CRT, DISPLAY MONITOR SYSTEM AND DEGAUSSING METHOD FOR CRT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high speed and highly efficient degaussing method and a system able to relatively insensitive to the temperature and power source fluctuation and be re-used in a short time. ;SOLUTION: In a degaussing system 20 for a color monitor, a coupling state in a bridge circuit 22 between a degaussing coil 27 and a storage capacitor 28 is continuously reversed so that backward degaussing currents running through the degaussing coil 27 can be generated in a degaussing cycle. A feedback signal is generated in a feedback circuit 26, supplied through a control circuit 24 to the bridge circuit, and continuously decreased until the magnitude of the current in the coil reaches a prescribed threshold value to ensure that the residual magnetism after degaussing is turned into almost zero. At the same time, the feedback signal is adjusted, and an integrated current in one direction of the coil is made almost equal to an integrated current in the other direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
