PURPOSE: To provide a method for forming an oxide film onto ferrous metallic foil in which a metallic oxide film having electrical insulating function can stably be formed onto ferrous metallic foil (flat foil and wave foil) constituting an electrical heating carrier with high productivity at a low cost and to provide an oxide film forming device. ;CONSTITUTION: A method for forming a metallic oxide film of alumina series onto ferrous metallic foil in which ferrous metallic foil contg., by weight, 1.0 to 7.0% Al is subjected to heat treatment by an oxidizing furnace of ≥1000°C in a state of being applied with 20-400gf/mm2 tensile force, a device for executing the same method and the ferrous metallic foil on which the metallic oxide film of alumina series having 0.3 to 1.0μm thickness is formed are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
