PURPOSE:To efficiently produce human IL-2 having the same disulfide bond as that of natural type IL-2, by aging human IL-2 of cysteine type in a specific aqueous solution for a long time. CONSTITUTION:Human interleukin-2 (human IL-2) of cysteine type obtained by cultivating a transformant capable of producing IL-2 is aged in an aqueous solution having dissolved about =1% ammonium sulfate, ammonium carbonate and/or sodium carbonate for =16hr. Consequently, human IL-2 having the same disulfide bond as that of natural type IL-2 is obtained.
