PURPOSE: To provide the cassette adapter without requiring high accuracy in processing and assembling parts, having a simple mechanism with a small number of parts and capable of easily adjusting a recording head in its vertical position with a simple operation and to provide suitable constitution of the adjusting mechanism. ;CONSTITUTION: This cassette adapter is provided with a housing 11 equipped with the recording head for the purpose of reproducing a signal generated from, for instance, a compact disk player by a cassette reproducing device, and is equipped with a recording head carrier body 25 for carrying the recording head 21 on its upper and lower parts, capable of sliding to the right and left to the recording head 21 from the outside of the housing 11 by a perscribed distance. Then, recording head carrier surfaces of the carrier body 25 are sliding surfaces having multistage steps, and upper lower surfaces of the recording head 21 have protrusions for the position adjusting mechanism to be abutted on the sliding surfaces.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
