FLOATING ISLAND FOR PURIFYING WATER, BAG FOR PLANT CULTURE AND WATER PURIFICATION METHOD

PURPOSE: To provide a method for cleaning water in polluted ponds and lakes, floating island which can both clean the polluted water and give people piece of mind or easiness with these water plants and bags for culturing plants which can be used in the floating island. CONSTITUTION: Planters (inner measurements: 10020020cm; wall thickness: 5cm) made of foamed polystyrene are molded by the bead foaming process and sprayed with a urethane coating on its surface to form an enhanced skin layer of polyurethane foam by following reaction and curing. Then, 200 through holes of 30mm diameter are uniformly bored all over the bottom of the planter, which is filled with 500g of charcoal to which microorganisms are immobilized and 500 liters of light weight soil and 20 seedlings of aquatic plants are planted. Then, 30 vessels filled with 100g of solid oxygen generating agent are hung on the outer face of the planter bottom with a string for horticultural purposes at an almost equal interval to give this floating island for cleaning water.
