PURPOSE: To perform a tensile test securely without damaging a jig body even when a test piece has a special shape or large strength. ;CONSTITUTION: In a tensile testing jig 2 for small and short cylinder that is inserted into the hollow part of a cylindrical test piece 1 with at most 20mm of inner diameter, an insertion part 3 for test piece is formed of such a shape that a circular cylinder having smaller radius than the inner diameter of the test piece 1 is halved in a lengthwise direction thereof.
